Senna will continue to race for HRT

Bruno Senna remains one of HRT's drivers and will race in the remainder of the season, his team said on Friday, despite being dropped for the British Grand Prix.

HRT revealed late on Thursday night that Sakon Yamamoto was taking Senna's place at Silverstone, although no reason for the driver change has been explained.

Neither team principal Colin Kolles nor Senna himself has so far been willing to comment on the matter.

In a statement issued on Friday afternoon, however, HRT said that it had simply wanted to give an 'opportunity' for Yamamoto at the British Grand Prix.

The statement added: "In respect to the rumours about Bruno Senna's current status with Hispania Racing, HRT F1 Team, the team wants to confirm that Bruno Senna has all the support of the Spanish team, that he remains one of the Hispania Racing, HRT F1 Team official drivers and that he will be continuing to drive in the remaining races of the 2010 Formula 1 world championship."
