Ten cars on the track in Jerez

Jerez de la Frontera, 10 February – Today there are ten drivers on the track for the first of four days of test sessions at the Jerez circuit. Seven had already debuted in Valencia last week – Alonso (Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro), Kobayashi (Sauber), Buemi (Toro Rosso), Hulkenberg (Williams), Button (McLaren), Petrov (Renault) and Rosberg (Mercedes) – while three more – Webber (Red Bull), Liuzzi (Force India) and Glock (Virgin) – are now going onto the track for the first time in 2010.

Fernando's installation lap was made at 9am sharp, when the lights turned green. The sky is completely cloudy and there were even some drops of rain at around 9:30am, when the Spanish driver started his first run of 10 laps, which he ended with the fastest lap in 1.22.895. The time sheet sees Mercedes' Rosberg as the driver of the fastest lap so far in a time of 1.20.927.
