Maranello, 9 January 2010 – There’s a little under forty eight hours until Fernando Alonso makes his debut in red. The Spanish driver will in fact arrive in Madonna di Campiglio on Monday afternoon, where he will take part, along with his new team-mate Felipe Massa and the Ducati Marlboro Team, in the twentieth running of Wroom, the traditional pre-season event for the media.
A day later, Fernando and Felipe will be joined by Team Principal, Stefano Domenicali and they will stay in the mountains until Saturday 16th.
Meanwhile, in Maranello, the team is totally focussed on the preparation of the new car, which is due to make its testing debut on 1st February at the “Ricardo Tormo” circuit, at Cheste, near Valencia, during what will be the first joint test session for the teams taking part in the 2010 Formula 1 World Championship. In the car assembly area, work has been going on for several days already on the first chassis, which goes by the code name of 281, while also on-going is the series of crash tests necessary to homologate various components.
