Rossi has Ferrari simulator run

Valentino Rossi had a session in the Ferrari Formula 1 simulator at Maranello today in preparation for his forthcoming test at Barcelona.

Ferrari announced earlier this week that it would honour its promise to the MotoGP champion and allow him another run in an F1 car as a reward for winning a ninth world title in motorcycle racing last season. Due to the test restrictions now in place in F1, Rossi will have to use a 2008 machine for his outing, which will take place at the Catalunya track next Wednesday and Thursday.

Rossi prepared for the test with the Ferrari engineers today and had a run in the team's latest F1 simulator.

He was also given the chance to try the new Ferrari 458 Italia road car around the Fiorano test track while visiting the team.
